Research Interests

My research primarily concerns the syntax, semantics and prosody of human language, and the writing systems associated with these, focusing particularly on old Indo-European and Semitic languages. I am particularly interested in computational modelling of natural language syntax and semantics, and developing software tools for linguistic analysis. In my role on the Crossreads project, I have responsibility for generating linguistic annotations of Sicilian inscriptions in the I.Sicily corpus.
