My research focuses on the music of the Greek tragedian Euripides and his songs that have not survived in full. I work with the lyric fragments and musical scenes that have survived through quotations, manuscripts and papyri and investigate their musical elements. I hope to contribute to the wider understanding of Euripides’ songs and uses of music in ancient drama.
My other interests include the role of music in Greek literature and poetry more broadly, particularly lyric poetry, as well as translation studies and reception in performance.
