My research centres around ancient Greek sexuality, with a special focus on the dialogues of Plato. I work on the intersection between medical texts and Platonic erotic discourse in order to trace the percolation of ancient Greek scientific thought on reproduction and sexual process through the Platonic corpus. I am also looking into the reception of Sappho in Plato.

My broader research interests include Platonic political philosophy, epistemology, ethics, myth, and rhetoric, as well as Greek lyric poetry (especially Sappho), Hippocratic gynaecology and the Hippocratic body, Greek medicine, and ancient theories of beauty and vision.
