My thesis is examining the transmission of symbols and ideas between the Aegean and the Near East in the Late Bronze Age. My research focuses on cross-cultural interactions in the Bronze Age through iconography, particularly of animals and women. I am also interested in ancient medicine and how disease was rationalised by different cultures in the eastern Mediterranean.
