I argue that we can see Boethius’ process of adapting Classical models and transforming them into something new occurring on the linguistic level of allusion. Specifically, my dissertation investigates Boethius' employment in his work of six Classical Latin authors: Ovid, Horace, Lucretius, Lucan, Seneca, and Vergil.
