Academic Background

I completed my DPhil in 2019, and have since been working at Oriel College and Balliol College, as well as spending a time as a Departmental Lecturer and Language Instructor at the Classics Faculty. After taking up an Early Career Fellowship at Balliol, I have now moved to the Faculty to teach language full-time. 

Research Interests

My published book is on the language of Early Greek Hexameter poetry, and I continue to have interests in this area, working on the specifics of the poetic language, and editing a volume on quantitative approaches to Homer. My next ongoing project is an application of cognitive grammar to the language of Greek tragedy.
