My PhD was on the role of wealth in the ethics of Pindar’s victory odes. Both MPhil and PhD were at Cambridge (Robinson and Downing College) under the supervision of Renaud Gagné, where I went on to join the faculty language team as Teaching Associate. I attended Jesus College, Oxford as a “2B” beginner, starting with Greek, for my first degree. Thereafter I taught Classics in secondary schools before returning to study at Cambridge.
Research Interests
In addition to all aspects of Pindar and lyric generally, my research interests focus on the intersection of literature and ethics, including ancient literary criticism.
